Oktoberfest at North by Northwest is an Austin tradition that is seven years old.
Head Chef George Powell cooks up a special German treat on Oktoberfest: we offer real German bratwurst, home-made saurkraut, fresh red-cabbage, pretzels and German cobblers.

To complement your German meal, brewmaster Don Thompson and head brewer Ty Phelps make a special Oktoberfest brew.

What Oktoberfest would be complete without area music? This year, North by Northwest has welcomes Oma and the Oompahs, The Tubameisters and Steven Doster & Will Sexton.
Contests!
Join us Saturday night for a bratwurst-eating contest. Last year our contestants were real weiners!
Sunday at 2:00 is our famous wiener dog costume contest. This year, we welcome more dogs with an All-Breed costume contest as well! Bring your appetite and your family canine to win trophies and prizes.
Family Fun
There's something for everyone at Oktoberfest: we have local artists, homebrewers, face painting and airbrush tattoos, bounce houses, wall-climbs, dunk tanks and more!
